Agaaqtoq

Agaaqtoq, also known as Abraham Eetak, is a boundary-pushing Inuk artist from Arviat, Nunavut. Since releasing his debut album Agaaqtoq in 2014, he’s toured extensively across Nunavut, Nunavik, and Canada—winning hearts with his soulful voice, intricate guitar work, and genre-blending sound rooted in rock, pop, blues, and salsa, all sung in his original Inuktitut lyrics.

In 2025, he continues to make waves with the viral success of his music video Inuugiaqarama, which gained over 100,000 views in its first week. That same year, he embarks on a six-community tour and prepares to release his much-anticipated second album, Agaaqtoq 2, accompanied by a series of cinematic music videos for each single.

Agaaqtoq is also a highly acclaimed jewelry maker, known for his stunning handmade earrings and brooches, which are sold both in Nunavut and around the world. An award-winning songwriter and winner of the Qilaut songwriting contest, he made history in 2023 by releasing Gitaralauq Sulusiaq, the first-ever Inuktitut song co-written using artificial intelligence.
