Eli Qaqqasiq-Taqtu
Eli Qaqqasiq-Taqtu was always interested in music, singing, and building a career using his voice. After working as secretary and substitute teacher at the school in his home town of Arctic Bay, Eli moved to Iqaluit to work for CBC Nunavut as a host of Qulliq. He began writing his own music, describing his experiences of life, immersed with Inuit people and culture. He enjoys and loves his culture and native language, Inuktitut, and his songs express what’s on his mind and in his heart. In April 2024, Eli released his first EP.
