Joey Nowyuk Releases New Music from Upcoming Album

Kugaaruk, Nunavut – October 23, 2025

Award-winning Inuk artist Joey Nowyuk has released “Kisiani Aniqsaatillunga” – which means “only when I’m breathing” in Inukltitut – the first single and music video from his highly anticipated third album.

Performed in Inuktitut and featuring Angela Amarualik, the song blends heartfelt vocals and acoustic instrumentation in a moving reflection on love and resilience in Nunavut.

Produced by Thor Simonsen and released by Hitmakerz with support from the Government of Nunavut, the album will be released one song per month over the next 15 months.

Nowyuk recently completed a Kitikmeot Region tour as part of the NUPOP concert series, performing alongside Angela Amarualik, Thor Simonsen and Tev Burke.

Nowyuk is an award-winning, chart-topping Inuk singer-songwriter from Pangnirtung, Nunavut, known for his soulful blend of Inuktitut and English songs about love, life, and hope in the North.
